Who we are and why we exist
The association of medical students and healthcare professionals Probudi heroja ("Awaken the Hero") brings together young people united by the desire to contribute to a safer and healthier community through their knowledge, skills and volunteering.
Our work focuses on public education, promoting health literacy, disease prevention, developing practical medical skills and raising awareness of the importance of timely and proper action in emergencies.
We place special importance on connecting students and healthcare professionals with experts, healthcare institutions, emergency services, educational institutions, other associations and the local community.
We believe knowledge should not stay within classrooms, faculties and hospitals. It gains its greatest value when it is shared with others - and when, at the right moment, it can help someone or save a life.
A hero is not one who feels no fear.
A hero is one who knows how to react.
Our mission
To educate, connect and empower individuals and the community to act properly in situations where knowledge, preparedness and a timely reaction can make the crucial difference.
Our vision
A society in which as many citizens as possible have the knowledge, confidence and readiness to help another person - and a community of young healthcare professionals who actively put their knowledge at the service of society.
